Meet the 2019 Paul Silver Enrichment Award Winners!

The 2019 Selection Committee was deeply moved by the stories of each of our applicants and was inspired by their efforts to reach personal goals. In memory of Paul Silver, Alport Syndrome Foundation is honored and pleased to provide financial awards to the following young individuals living with Alport syndrome (pictured above – Top Left, Clockwise):

Emma S. – age 17, California
Award will be used to study film production, a dream career field.

Liam G. – age 17, Kentucky
Award will be used to purchase a laptop to support interest in graphic design.

Aime A. – age 20, Pennsylvania (originally from Togo, Africa)
Award will be used to help pay for college tuition to study business.

Katelyn C. – age 16, Kentucky
Katelyn planned on using her Award to support a school trip to the United Nations Headquarters (New York City). Due to COVID-19, Katelyn will instead be using her funding to support college application fees.

Luke B. – age 16, Texas
Award will be used to help purchase tech equipment for creating video content as a hobby and potential field of study.

Thomas B. – age 17, Texas
Award will be used to travel to a college campus for a visit and interview.

As part of their Awardee Agreement, in the comings months, each winner will provide ASF with a short video showcasing how the Paul Silver Enrichment Award helped them accomplish a key personal goal.
